Definitions->Preflight Mode

Modes are actually files that control two main parts of the User experience with FlightCheck. First they control which language text is displayed on screen, and second, they contain the Non_PDF and PDF preflight rule sets.

FlightCheck currently supports several languages including, English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish. Each language has two modes, a Non_PDF Mode and a PDF Mode. By selecting a Preflight Mode from under the File menu, you can switch languages.

**Important Note #1 - FlightCheck 6 is set up to auto-switch between Non_PDF and PDF Preflight Modes based on the type of file you preflight. If you manually switch Preflight Modes, you should first go the the Advanced Preferences area and deselect Auto Preflight Detection, otherwise FlightCheck will continue to select a Preflight Mode based on the type of file you preflight.

**Important Note #2 - The very first time you start up FlightCheck you are asked to select a default language. If you select say US (English) and then manually change Preflight Modes to say FR (French), unless you disable the Auto Preflight Detection preference, FlightCheck will always switch back to the Default language you selected.
